Videotaping Sessions

Janet RunningHow does a session work with the videotaping?

During each session, Janet will videotape your running. Her goal is to help you develop an eye for, bodily sense and feel, and intellectually understand what she’s working to accomplish with you and why.

During the run 20-40 minute run, she will observe your form, analyze the problems, and then come up with a step by step approach to correcting the problems. She creatively incorporates conceptual material with experiential exercises along with form focuses that will cue your body to make the changes it needs to, to become a more efficient runner.

Afterwards, you will watch the videotape together, and Janet will analyze your gait and critique your stride mechanics.

The video gives you a reality check. Sometimes it takes seeing to believe, since our perception of how we move is often different from what we’re actually doing.

The video also provides an image that your mind can provide your body with as well as a body sense when you get it right since we learn by imitation.

Over time, these videos serve as an inspiring documentation of your transformation as a runner, so you can really see the changes and improvements you are making.
